Aguirre-Arboleda Wedding!

August is a beautiful month in Ecuador.  It is sunny and warm and dry and a perfect time to have a wedding!  This wedding was extra special as it was Oscar's brother, Fernando and his beautiful bride, Maria Alejandra.

The Aguirre family is a bit unique in that none of the Aguirre boys, including their father, married someone from the same country!  We brides come from the United States (me), Colombia (Male), and Cuba (Leya).  Oscar's father (Colombian) married Piedad (Ecuadorian).  All of us living intercultural lives.  Someone at the wedding even asked us, "What is it about the Ecuadorian men?"  I don't know that Ecuador has anything to do with it, but I married Oscar because I love him and was more than happy to move across the world to be with him!

Probably the cutest thing about this wedding - well in our biased opinions - was Oscar Andres!  He had a custom made suit and was so handsome!  He got to walk in the processional with his cousins Borys and Ale.

Here is another picture of the three cousins together at the rehearsal lunch.  Oscar Andres loves playing with his two cousins and he is finally at an age where he understands who these two boys are and what fun they are to hang around with!

I also wanted to include one of me 7 months pregnant!  Was thankful to find such a good dress for the wedding - there aren't too many formal maternity dresses being sold here!
